“ On my first ever trip to Miami many years back for work, I came here for dinner with my co-workers. The company took us here and bought our dinner and drinks. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the live entertainment that was featured for the night. In fact, I drank my first ever Mojito here at Mango's that night. Mango's Tropical Cafe is located in the heart of South Beach and has a thirty year history in SOBE. It is a little touristy because of its longevity and popularity. But the live music and dancing make it a fun place to stop at if you are hanging out in South Beach. The beach is just a short walk away. Mango's features all sorts of entertainment like live Latin music, salsa dancing, karaoke and magic shows. They serve tropical cuisine with a large menu of cocktails that includes their popular mojitos and daiquiris. I was cruising around South Beach not too long ago and stopped here for a quick drink to reminisce my first trip to Miami. Good times! ”

“ A major tourist trap but it does get people in. I've been a few times and normally it's for a drink while waiting for friends. And that's also during the day time. Evening is a whole different vibe. It's on the main strip so you will be solicited by the girls trying to get you inside for a drink. We stopped off for a drink while waiting for friends. It was still pretty quiet for mid day during the week. They do still have the ladies getting in the bar to dance. But it is very pricey for a quick stop. And they add all sorts of taxes and service fees to everything. It's a staples for Miami so they'll do well regardless. ”

“ This was the first restaurant I've tried when I went to Miami last week and was one of the better spots I've went to. When you first arrive you are greeted by two shrieking parrots which was cool at first and then annoying after a while. The place itself looked really nice and vibrant. Our server was amazing, I forgot her name but I think it was Kaylene but she made sure we were good and was very attentive. The first drinks we got were really good but the shots were decent (I've had better jolly rancher shots) and kinda overpriced (which was expected for Miami). The food I ordered was delicious! The lemon pepper chicken was wayyyyy different from any lemon pepper I've tasted and I'd definitely choose this one any day. The tacos were decent but nothing to brag about. There was also a live show where they invited my friend up to dance and play which was fun. We spent a bit more than we were expecting but that's how it was all over the area. Overall it was a good experience and would recommend trying if you are visiting but just know you'll be spending a lot. ”

“ First time visiting Miami and was told you have to stop by Mangos! We sat at the bar and enjoyed frozen margaritas (strawberry). During lunch entertainment included three men dancing on the bar, a Spanish band, and three women dancing on the bar. My understanding is the evening entertainment is more glamorous and theatrical so I would def go back to watch. ”
